Ladies, and gentlemen welcome to Estate Lake Systems, Home to the Viper Rig.
Since carp fishing began, we, as a united community, have been trying almost relentlessly to produce a system that can rotate at will and catch our quarry in any way we see fit.
It seems like from the very first cast, evolution was set in motion and the humble, free-lined potato transformed into, dare I say it, the Ronnie rig. But somewhere along our path, I believe we took the wrong turn, believing that the hook should always be attached to the line by the use of a knot.
It’s now my belief that this knot was hindering rotation from day one!
From a simple observation, which was followed by a simple experiment, the idea of the Viper rig was conceived.
In the years that followed, the results from around the country couldn’t be ignored. Personal messages agreeing with and cementing the status of this rig were not to be overlooked!
So it then became inevitable that the concept needed to be shared and that’s where my journey really began.
Admittedly, the rig was met with mixed reviews and at one point I nearly gave up, but the messages trickled in, telling of exceptional catches alongside traditional rigs that sat motionless.
A chance meeting with Frank Warrick at the big show proved that this had legitimate purpose in the carp fishing community.
He explained that he came up with the idea moons ago but the use of the wrong shaped hook led to the idea being just that.
So please, I believe it’s time to start thinking outside the box and give it a go!
Take it to a runs water, a private syndicate, or an abandoned estate lake. I believe you will get the same results!
But don’t take my word for it, spend as little as £6 to find out for yourself and join the family that is the Viper crew!
Good luck people and tight lines.
